Chappell Roan can officially cross a major item off her bucket list!

Roan, 26, will be performing as the musical guest on the Nov. 2 episode of Saturday Night Live — and it’s apparently a goal the singer-songwriter has had for more than a decade.

On Friday, Nov. 1, Roan — whose birth name is Kayleigh Amstutz — posted a screenshot on Instagram of her Facebook status from April 2011. The status read simply, “I am determined to be on SNL.”

The “Good Luck, Babe!” singer captioned her Instagram post, “@nbcsnl Tmrw night with @johnmulaney 💋.” Comedian John Mulaney is set to host the episode.

It’s unclear whether Roan’s younger self was determined to appear as musical guest or host. When talking to comedian Bowen Yang for Interview Magazine in August, Roan explained that she initially thought she would be an actress.

“I originally started doing music because I wanted to get my foot in the door for acting,” she said. “And then I moved to Los Angeles, and I was like, ‘F— that.’ ”

“The industry is legitimately so scary, and it is so out of my control,” she continued. “I can put out music whenever I want. I don’t have to wait for a casting director to be like, ‘It would be great if we cast you, and then we’ll decide your schedule for the next three months.’ ”

Roan appeared in several promos for the latest SNL episode. The clips feature Roan in an elaborate turquoise costume standing next to Mulaney, 42, and castmate Ego Nwodim.

“Hi, I’m John Mulaney and I’m hosting SNL this week with musical guest Chappell Roan,” Mulaney says in the first of two videos.

“And we won’t tell anyone our secret,” Nwodim chimes in, looking directly into the camera.

“We’ll do sketches,” Mulaney continues, and Roan adds, “And I’ll do songs.”

“But we won’t tell anyone our secret,” Mulaney says firmly.

“Because we made a vow to each other to never tell anyone,” the trio eerily says together in unison.

The second promo video is a fun nod to a viral TikTok trend featuring Roan’s wildly popular song “HOT TO GO.” In the clip, Nwodim hilariously fails in her attempt to get Mulaney to join in on the trend, prompting Roan to quip, “He doesn’t get it, girl.”
