Olivia Rodrigo’s stardom may have been written in the stars.

The 21-year-old singer spoke about her passion for astrology in an ASMR interview with W Magazine on Nov. 4, sharing that her grandfather, a fellow astrology enthusiast, predicted her stardom simply by looking at her birth chart.

“I’m a big believer in astrology,” she explained. “My grandpa — who just passed away this year — was also super into astrology and when I was born, he [read] my [birth] chart. He told my parents that I was gonna be very emotional and a performing artist.”

Rodrigo added that she likes to “tell that story to anyone who is an astrology denier.”

Later in the interview, the “Vampire” singer — who is a Pisces Sun — read a horoscope for Pisces placements which detailed this would be a time of “extremes” for her zodiac sign.

“But that does not mean you should be extreme in your own thoughts and actions,” she continued with the reading. “Take a more balanced view of what’s going on in the world, be the kind of person who makes a constructive difference.” She added that she would “make an effort to be the kind of person who makes a constructive difference.”

Later in the interview, Rodrigo was offered chilis to chop up as part of the ASMR experience, which she said presented her being a “spicy Pisces,” a title she proudly displays on Instagram.

“I’m a little spicy too, hence the ‘spicy Pisces,’ ” she added.

“Pisces love water,” she continued of her Sun sign. “And while I’m not a strong swimmer, if there is a body of water within a mile radius of where I am, you best believe I’m going for a swim.”

Astrologer Lisa Stardust previously told PEOPLE that Pisces placements are usually emotional signs and “known for [their] exceptional creativity, imagination and tenderness.”

This is especially shown through Rodrigo’s songwriting, which vividly details her various heartbreaks, and has resonated with her fans on a personal level.

Astrologer Alberto Toribio also told PEOPLE that “it’s important for Pisces to understand how to fortify their emotions and thoughts. They are fishes, so they are very exposed. Sometimes people take advantage of it. Knowing how to mask and wield the sea of your emotions tactfully will suit Pisces well in the long run.”
