Sabrina Carpenter’s new Netflix holiday special includes a cameo from an oh-so-perfect guest: fellow pop star Chappell Roan.

A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter, which dropped on the streaming platform on Friday, Dec. 6, features classic Christmas jingles along with the singer’s current hits. And at one point in the special, Roan, 26, joins Carpenter, 25, for a rendition of the Wham! holiday classic “Last Christmas.”

The pair — who sport coordinating green velvet dresses and white furs — belt out the 1984 song while moving around a set designed to look like the end of a raucous house party.

While speaking to Yahoo! Entertainment, the show’s set designer, Jason Sherwood revealed that the “Espresso” and “HOT TO GO” singers fully led the creative direction of their duet.

“We were like, ‘What’s the moment? Is it them on the big staircase? Is it this big performative thing?’ ” he recalled. “They both came back to the team being like, ‘We want to do something that feels a little more informal [and] kind of chill.’ “

“This idea of it being the end of a party came through,” Sherwood continued, noting that they “trashed” the originally “pristine and beautiful” living room decor to make it look like the end of a wild night.

“It’s part Euphoria, it’s part ’80s movie — like the end of an ’80s prom,” he added. “Then they sing and play and dance together — and it’s such a nice moment. It’s probably my favorite moment in the show because it speaks [to] the essence of what we wanted to make.”

The holiday special also features appearances by Quinta Brunson, Cara Delevingne, Megan Stalter, Sean Astin and more.

Roan has previously opened up about her friendship with Carpenter, noting that the two have bonded over their meteoric rise to fame in such a relatively short period.

“We’re both going through something so f—ing hard,” Roan told Rolling Stone in September. “[Carpenter] just feels like everything is flying, and she’s just barely hanging on.”

“It was just good to know someone else feels that way,” the “Good Luck, Babe!” singer added.
