Aaron Taylor-Johnson Shows Off Six-Pack Abs and Scuba Adventures While Vacationing with Wife Sam

Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Sam Taylor-Johnson are spending the holidays in “paradise.”

The couple shared photos from Soneva Jani, a five-star hotel in the Maldives, on Tuesday, Dec. 31. “A little break in Paradise,” Aaron, 34, captioned a gallery of pictures from the tropical resort on Instagram.

His pictures included a photo of himself shirtless and another picture of him scuba diving. The Nosferatu star and Sam, 57, also posed for a picture together and rode bicycles around the islands. 

Sam also shared photos from Soneva Jani, including many of the same ones Aaron featured. “This was the best way to end 2024. Faced a fear and learnt how to dive. Swam with some sharks and found Nemo,” the Fifty Shades of Grey director wrote.

Aaron’s shirtless photo shows off his abs, which were also on display in Kraven the Hunter. In an interview with Variety, his costar Ariana DeBose assured fans that the muscles are real.

“Oh, yeah. Those are real. I had the privilege of looking at those,” DeBose, 33, said at the Academy Museum Gala in October.

“I think he might’ve been hungry. But, they’re beautiful,” the West Side Story star continued. “I appreciate the male form just like many, many humans on the planet. He is a spectacular human, a beautiful human…and so sweet. He’s much more than his abs, you know? And, quite frankly, he’s a very good actor. Incredible actor. I was very, very proud to work with him.”

Aaron and Sam met in 2008 and got engaged the following year. They are parents to daughter Wylda Rae, who was born in 2010, and daughter Romy Hero, who was born in 2012, the same year they married. Sam also shares daughters Angelica and Jessie Phoenix with her ex-husband Jay Jopling.

Their children are noticeably absent in the photos, as the couple keeps them out of the spotlight.

“We live behind walls,” Aaron told Harper’s Bazaar in 2019. “Literally, figuratively and deliberately. You’ll never see our children or any of our most personal moments on social media or in the press. We have our professional lives and our life together, and we keep them apart.”

The couple had a busy 2024. In May, Sam’s latest directing effort, the Amy Winehouse biopic Back to Black, hit theaters. Aaron starred in three movies that opened in 2024: The Fall Guy, Nosferatu and Kraven the Hunter. He also filmed 28 Years Later, which opens on June 20, 2025.
