Alabama Barker Responds to Rumors She Was Hospitalized for Nicotine Withdrawal

Travis Barker’s daughter, Alabama, is setting the record straight following reports she was recently hospitalized for nicotine withdrawal.

“I just want to clarify that I was not in the hospital this month or last. The situation occurred some time ago,” Alabama, the 19-year-old daughter of Travis Barker, 49, and ex Shanna Moakler, wrote in a now-deleted Instagram Stories post. “And I was there for about three hours before being discharged.”

“They provided me with a nicotine patch and an inhaler, and that’s all,” Alabama continued. “Let’s please avoid spreading any rumors and focus on moving forward. Thank you.”

On Monday, Dec. 30, TMZ published a report that claimed Alabama’s nicotine withdrawal caused her to call 911 and that she was “rushed to an LA-area hospital.” Alabama did not directly mention vaping or quitting vaping in her Instagram post.

On Thursday, Dec. 26, Alabama, who turned 19 on Christmas Eve, said on TikTok that she had the flu.

“I have not been okay. On my birthday, I didn’t even get to enjoy it because I was so sick,” she said in the video, in which she also shared her $80,000 Christmas and birthday haul. “But I am back on my feet, and I really want to give you guys a Christmas haul.”

Alabama received a pink Chrome Hearts Fleur De Lis Cross Patch Wallet, a Balenciaga pink rhinestone shoulder bag, a Prada pink duffle travel purse, a vintage Dior Boston bag, a vintage Chanel backpack, a shearling Prada mini-pouch, a Goyard carrier and her second Hermès Birkin purse.

Her sister, Atiana de la Hoya, gifted her a custom diamond necklace with the initials “A and B,” as well as a diamond cross necklace. Meanwhile, Travis gifted her other jewelry pieces.

“Then my dad got me these diamond earrings, they’re so pretty and he got me my third Cartier Love bracelet,” Alabama said in the TikTok video. “It’s kind of like a tradition now, like every year I get a better one.”

He also gifted her an almost $8,000 coat. “My dad being my dad, he has some of the best style and he got me this Enfants Riches jacket,” she said.

She also received a Jean Paul Gaultier beach cover-up, Balenciaga 110mm Essex boots, a vintage Roberto Cavalli cow print jacket and Gucci heels.

Reps for Alabama did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
