Chris Martin Leads 2025 Grammys In Memoriam Segment with ‘All My Love’ Performance

The Recording Academy is remembering those we’ve lost in the industry this year.

To kick off the 2025 Grammy Awards annual In Memoriam segment, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin took the stage to perform the band’s “All My Love” with a four-string orchestra.

After Martin, 47, began singing at the piano, the tributes began with a special video of Liam Payne.

More names shown on the screen included Kris Kristofferson, Cissy Houston, Dickey Betts, Fatman Scoop, Rich Homie Quan, Wayne Osmond, Toby Keith and many others.

Earlier in the night, a special performance was dedicated to the late Quincy Jones, who died on Nov. 3 at age 91. Throughout his decades-long career, he received 80 Grammy nominations and won 28 of them. The tribute included contributions from Stevie Wonder, Herbie Hancock, Jaco Collier, Lainey Wilson and Janelle Monáe.

The 2025 Grammys also paid tribute to those affected by the Los Angeles wildfires. They started on Jan. 7 and left tens of thousands of people scrambling for safety. Thousands of homes, businesses and structures and 29 people died as a result.

Ahead of this year’s show, the Recording Academy and MusiCare’s Los Angeles Fire Relief Effort To Support Music Professionals, has been launched to raise funds to support wildfire relief efforts and prevention.

The Grammys are broadcasting live from Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on CBS or stream them live and on-demand on Paramount+.
