‘The Voice’ Coaches Cover Elton John’s ‘Tiny Dancer’ Ahead of Season Premiere — Watch!

The Voice is kicking its latest season off with an iconic ballad.

In a new video, veteran coaches Michael Bublé, John Legend, returning coach Adam Levine and new coach to the team Kelsea Ballerini teamed up for a powerful rendition of Elton John’s “Tiny Dancer.”

Legend, 46, played the piano while Bublé, 49, and Ballerini, 31, sang along. Levine, 45, rounded out the quartet by hitting the high notes throughout the ballad. Their performance had the perfect mood lighting thanks to the handheld lights the audience members had.

The group’s cover had fans pumped for the upcoming season. “Vocally this is the best performance by a judges panel EVER,” one person commented on YouTube speaking of the coaches.

“If there isn’t one, there should be an album of coaches’ performances on the show,” another suggested. “Adam where have you been? Welcome back! I think this going to be a great combo!” a third said, welcome back Levine to the series.

The season 27 coaches were excited to cover the 1971 song. “I know you all look forward to this every season: What are the Coaches gonna sing together? And we’ve chosen a classic Elton John song, ‘Tiny Dancer’ ” Legend said, as per NBC Insider.

“We all love Elton; we’re all big fans of Elton. I’ve performed in tributes for Elton, I’ve performed with Elton over the years, and I’m excited that we’re all gonna be singing this amazing, beautiful song. It’s gonna be great.”

Ballerini, meanwhile, spoke about her first coach performance on the singing competition series. “I’m a huge Elton John fan,” she said. “I was very eager to figure out what they picked for us. And it’s a classic.”

“The fact that we all get to just sit around a piano and stare lovingly into each other’s eyes and admire and respect each other? C’mon, it’s bucket list, I’m excited, I’m not gonna lie.”

Levine rejoins the panel of Voice coaches for the first time since season 16 in 2019.

“I honestly feel like the stars aligned,” the Maroon 5 frontman told PEOPLE in February. “It was one of those moments where we started talking about it and it felt right… and it hadn’t felt right until now.”

Getting a break from the show was an “interesting and beautiful thing.” “Doing it for so long, so consistently, for almost eight or nine years of my life, you can definitely start to get burnt,” he said.

“I did it for this really long period of time so I started to feel like I was kind of getting away from things that matter to me the most, like making music and playing music,” Levine added,
