Lil Nas X Posts from Hospital Bed After He ‘Lost Control of the Right Side of My Face’

Lil Nas X posted an alarming video from a hospital bed on Monday night.

The video, uploaded to Instagram on April 14, showed the rapper, 26, wearing a hospital gown and colorful Von Dutch baseball cap as he showed his 10.4 million followers that he couldn’t move the right side of his face.

“This is me doing a full smile right now by the way,” he said in the video as he showed his smile and grabbed his jaw. “It’s like what the f—. Bro, I can’t even laugh right, bro. What the f—. Ah! Oh my God.”

The performer put his hand over his mouth as he told the camera, “So …” and laughed before adding, “Oh my God, bro. Ahhh. Ahhh. So, yeah.” He captioned the clip, “Soooo lost control of the right side of my face 😭.”

In the comment section, Lil Nas X fans and some of his celebrity friends voiced their concern. Taraji P. Henson wrote, “Get well baby 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.” Wanda Sykes commented, “Get well love. Sometimes your body tells you to sit down somewhere. Rest up.🩷.”

Shortly after uploading, the musician gave a closer look at both sides of his face in an Instagram Stories clip. He laughed as he said, “We normal over here. We get crazy over here.” He wrote over the clip, “I’m so cooked 😭😭.”

Later, Lil Nas X told his fans not to worry about him. “Guys I am OK!! Stop being sad for me!” he wrote in an Instagram Story post. “Sake Ur a– for me instead!”

He also shared a selfie from the hospital, adding, “Imma look funny for a lil but but that’s it 😭😭.”

As of late, Lil Nas X’s Instagram has primarily been dedicated to promoting his EP Days Before Dreamboy, which dropped last month.

“I wanna be myself more than ever this era. I want to be completely free out there, only doing the things that I wanna do. If I do not want to do it, I’m not doing it,” he told PEOPLE at the GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles on Thursday, March 27.
