Oprah Named This Bubble Bath on Her List of Favorite Things, and Now It’s a Regular Part of My Bath Routine

As someone who takes baths several days a week (even in the summertime), I can tell you that one extra touch can take your ritual to the next level. So when I saw Archipelago Botanicals Bubble Bath on Oprah’s Favorite Things List this year I was curious about it.

Once I knew that it was on Amazon I was locked in — I would use the same bubble bath as the billionaire media mogul and feel like Oprah for an hour. Of course, if I could, I’d choose the hour where she gave away free Pontiacs, but hey, I take my wins where I can get them. And this find is in fact a win — an upgrade in fact.

Don’t get me wrong, I think $44 is pricey for a bottle of bubble bath, especially considering how often I sit in my tub and ponder. However, after using it I realized that it’s worth every penny and that I’d be adding it to my regular bathtime ritual.

The bubble bath is available in Charcoal Rose and Milk; I purchased the Milk option because I’m typically averse to anything that smells like a rose. It fills my bathroom with a sweet but subtle spa smell for hours, even after my bath is over. The texture of the bubble bath is super thick, not runny like some cheaper bubble baths I’ve used in the past, and therefore creates the perfect pillowy mountain of soft bubbles.

The bubbles last for about a half hour, which is a long time, especially considering that most people don’t sit in the bath for longer than that. And the formula of wild oats, dried milk solids, and vetiver doesn’t irritate my skin.

I know that bathing in the same bubble bath that Oprah loves doesn’t get me any closer to the savvy businesswoman, but it elevates an otherwise banal daily routine that brings me peace of mind. Taking a bath also sparks my creativity (I wrote this in the bath!), so while it may not make me Oprah, maybe adding a bit of Archipelago Botanicals to my bathwater will help me create a billion-dollar idea.
